River Basket

This traditional river basket is beautiful as a traditional hand woven basket. It can also be converted into a pendant by customers using the chain and fittings from Pooky Lights here. This beautiful piece has been handwoven from raw materials such as palm leaf, twigs and creeper vines  in Zambia. Natural dyes are a key feature of this very special Zambian basketry, and the weavers we partner with are masters in achieving beautiful, earthy colours from blending rust, leaves and bark from specific indigenous trees in vats of boiling water. Please note you we advise you use an electrician to convert the basket to a light fitting.
